Looking Forward to the Philippine Homeschool Conference 2016

It has been a month since we started homeschooling independently. And just last week, I have deposited for our homeschooling accreditation for our chosen provider. We haven’t paid for the materials so we haven’t started officially homeschooling with them yet. So as of this writing, my children are still homeschooling independently using mixed curriculums mostly from discoveryk12.com

Since we are newbie homeschoolers, I must admit that I lack in so many things. I have questions that somehow I haven’t found a satisfactory answer. But probably, I will this October 22, 2016.

Yes, if you are a Philippine homeschooler, you have guessed it right. This date marks the biggest and grandest homeschooling conference in our country. This coming 22nd of October 2016 is the Philippine Homeschool Conference 2016 at SM Convention Center, SMX Aura, Taguig City.

If you are currently homeschooling your kids or considering to homeschool them in the future, I encourage you to join this event with me. Please don’t get me wrong. This is my first time to attend this event so I can’t share my own experience with you, but I can share with you all the activities that I am looking forward.

Philippine Homeschool Conference 2016 Keynote Speakers and Their Topics

During the event, we will be graced with passionate homeschooler advocates who will be discussing relevant topics based on this year's theme: "From Roots to Wings." They will be discussing topics on how we can give our kids a good foundation (roots) to achieve their own strengths to soar high in their lives (wings).

Aside from the top caliber keynote speakers, they have tons of activities in stored for the parents and their children as well. From seasoned homeschoolers, newbie homeschoolers like me, and those who are still considering homeschooling, everyone will have an activity they can participate.

Check out the event program below:

During the breakout sessions, you can choose topics such as transitioning from brick and mortar to homeschooling, starting your homeschool journey, homeschooling the high school years, and among others. Check breakout sessions topics HERE.

How to Register

The regular rate is 1200 pesos, but if you avail it now until October 15, 2016, you only need to pay 1000 pesos. If you register in groups of 5, you only need to pay 4500 pesos only! To REGISTER, click HERE.

I am very excited. I am sure I will learn a lot of things during this event and will definitely open my horizons as a homeschooler. I encourage everyone to join. See you there!

About the Organizers

The Homeschool Association of the Philippine Islands (HAPI), is a non-stock, non-profit organization that aims to equip homeschooling groups and organizations in growing the national homeschooling movement. HAPI has partnered with Educating For Life (EFL) to mount the Philippine Homeschool Conference 2016. EFL was founded by homeschooling parents to support families who have courageously decided to take the path less taken in educating their children.
